Ever wanted to play on one of the most elite high school football teams in the state? Jesuit High School football has been established as one of the best in the state since 2000.

Practice starts at 5:00. Players get there and throw the footballs around until the coaches come and tell them to start warm ups. Warm-ups consist of static stretches, then sprints to the 50 yard line. They have a water break, followed by separate drills for each positions. After this, they do team drills, which can vary between offensive or defensive drills. Finally, they finish off with team scrimmages.

One player, Connor Mcintee ’19, has been playing varsity football since he was sophomore year. He said that playing Jesuit football is awesome. He is the starting tight end for varsity football.

“I liked junior varsity football better because I got a lot of playing time on jv football compared to varsity football and getting less playing time,” said Connor.

He loved playing football since freshman year and he is happy because he gets one more year to play. Hopefully, he will have a great experience on his last year with every practice, drill, scrimmage, and game that he does.
