Social media has changed the world as we know it. Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter are the center of teens’ free time. These apps have their pros and cons.
Instagram pros and cons are,
That you can have a account and you can follow your friends and they can follow you . You can post pictures of whatever you want for your friends to like them. The cons are that you are giving up personal information about where you are and what you are doing. You risk your own safety, but gain social popularity. And this can make you very antisocial and will make not want to have a conversation
Snapchat’s pros and cons are,
It is an easy way to communicate with friends and a way to share what you are doing. And it is very easy to setup and can block people so they can not communicate with you any more. The cons are that everything “disappears” and you can’t see it anymore. This can have people know where you are at all times which this can be a risk. It can also make people think that they can send whatever they want because it just disappears.
Twitter’s pros and cons are,
Twitter is a website and app where you can socializes with friends and you can be able to make new friends and it is very easy to set up. And it will let you follow facebook fan pages and celebrities. The cons are that you give up your privacy to the world and it can be very time consuming for your kids and young adults and this is very bad. And this can make people very anti social for kids.
Facebook’s pros and cons are ,
Facebook is another social media website and app, It is very easy to set up on and navigate and this is a free app. It lets your kids and family connect with far way friends. This website will let you interact with other people. You can also join fan pages and this will let your kids make new friends. The cons is that you give out your privacy. And it can be very time consuming for kids and adults. And it can make you antisocial with face to face conversations.
