Thirteen years of dedication

Jesuit High School Varsity Soccer player Andrew Norris ‘18 has been playing soccer since he was four and is excited for next season to start. He has played competitively for seven years and at Jesuit for three years.

“I have to put a lot of time and hard work into playing soccer,” said Andrew.

Next year, Andrew will play defense and help stop the opposing team from scoring by being vocal and telling his teammates what to do. But he wants to make life difficult for the other team’s defenders as well by scoring more goals than his previous season.

Soccer is a big sport at Jesuit and many people that go to Jesuit like to watch it because the three teams are very good. Last year, the Varsity team went 20-4-5 and were the Division 1 section champions.

“Soccer has been fun for me,” Andrew said. “I have had to sacrifice many things and opportunities to keep playing soccer for as long as I can.”

His 13 years of hard work and dedication to soccer have helped him win the championship with his team and he hopes to repeat this his Senior year at Jesuit High School.
