Yearly return to Jesuit

For Mr. Michael McCrimons ‘02, learning should be both educational and fun.

This summer Mr. McCrimons has returned to Jesuit High School to teach in the Academics Plus program. He has been teaching in the summer program for over 10 years, and he continues to come back every year because he enjoys it.

“I think it’s a wonderful camp to get the know the school,” said Mr. McCrimons, “it’s an awesome camp.”

Beyond enjoyment reasons, he comes back every year because Jesuit opened so many doors for him, so he wants to give back to the school. After his graduation from Jesuit, he set out to become a teacher. Then, about 2 years later, he was hired to teach at Academics Plus.

“I wanted to give back to the school that gave me so much,” Mr. McCrimons said.

Mr. McCrimons wants to educate all of his students to the best of his ability.

“I think of what [the students] need to prepare for 7th and 8th grade,” Mr. McCrimons said, “I [also] think of the most fun option.”

Mr. McCrimons teaches not only for the education of students but also for the enjoyment it gives him.
