Coach Jon Rotz ‘92, the new head varsity basketball coach, believes that his players have more potential than they think.

Coach Rotz wants his players to practice to enhance their ability to play ball and be a man for others.

“I want them to feel like they’re empowered to be the best that they can be…[and] feel like they own their success and their failure as individuals,” said Coach Rotz.

Coach Rotz was inspired to be a basketball coach by his dad. Coach Rotz’s dad has coached him in many sports like basketball, baseball, soccer, and football.

“That was the way we bonded…my dad was a big influence in my life,” Coach Rotz said.

Coach Rotz wants his players to work as a team, because he believes that teamwork is always the key to success.

Coach Rotz wants his team to work together to improve and try their hardest so they can be great out on the court.
