Learning to be your best

Jesuit High School’s varsity basketball team is now under control of Coach Jon Rotz ‘92, and he has big plans for the new season.

Coach Jon Rotz ‘92 was promoted to  the new varsity basketball coach, and he is ready to take this new season by using unique coaching techniques.

Coach Rotz is not only going to coach basketball, he is going to teach his team to be men for others.

“A lot of the things we teach in the classroom get carried over to basketball as far as being men for others,” Coach Rotz said.

Coach Rotz trusts that if his team is willing to work hard, believing in themselves and each other, they will be able to have a successful year.

“We have an extremely hard working group willing to work hard to set themselves up to take advantage of every opportunity,” Coach Rotz said.

Coach Rotz believes that if the players do their best, they might even go as far as winning a championship.

“Your best is always good enough. If you’re constantly trying to do your best, good things will happen,” Coach Rotz said.

In the end, Coach Rotz wants his players to work their hardest and be men for others.
