Jack Williams, Writer for The Caribbean Chronicle

What to do over summer? That question has been asked countless times by bored kids over their summer break.

However, there are actually many great ways to beat boredom in and around Sacramento.

  1. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is a popular place to go.  It has reasonable ticket prices, short lines, and lots of large thrill rides.
  2. Another fun place to go is Golfland Sunsplash waterpark in Roseville. Sunsplash is a great way to cool off on a hot summer day.
  3. Also recommended is Folsom Lake, one can spend a fun day playing on the beach, and it’s free.
  4. You could also go to a community pool. There are community pools all over Sacramento, and most  have very low admission fees.  To find one, simply search Sacramento community pool on the internet.
  5. Finally, Sky High in Carmichael has a low admission fee and plenty of bouncy fun for all day. Sky high is a large trampoline house with dodgeball, trampolines and a ball pit.

As you can see there is no reason to be bored over summer in and around Sacramento.
