A new season, a new dream

The Jesuit Varsity Football Program has high expectations entering the 2015 season. After graduating a number of key contributors from last year’s team, this year they are looking to fill those positions.

“For the 2015-2016 football season, there are no key players, just key positions,” said Coach Antolin Macalino, assistant coach.

Coach Macalino strongly feels that the line and quarterback will be “key positions” to fill.  Even with the need to fill some positions, the team must move forward.Jesuit HS_K1A7845

Junior Calvin Brownholtz will be competing to replace his older brother Cole Brownholtz at quarterback next season with high hopes of winning sections.

“The atmosphere is different from last year, but everyone’s really excited and we’re going to have to work harder than last year.” Calvin said.

The Jesuit Varsity Football team is very excited for the upcoming season. The new stadium is certainly contributing to their excitement. Their first game game is right around the corner.

“Our first game is in August, right after school starts,” Calvin said.

Calvin hopes the team’s hard work will pay off with a great season.
