For Mr. Greg Harcos ‘89, the challenges of being the Athletic Director at Jesuit High School didn’t dissuade him from taking the job but instead persuaded him to accept.

Mr. Harcos is currently transitioning from the position of Varsity Basketball Head Coach to Jesuit’s Athletic Director where he will be overseeing all phases of athletic’s rather than those of just one sport.

“I was excited. I know it’s going to be more time and it’s going to be a challenge, but it’s all new, and for me, I’ve been teaching/coaching for a long time and it’s not that I don’t like it, I just want to try something new and I was very welcome to the change,” Mr. Harcos said.

Some of the recent responsibilities of the Athletic Director were overseeing the construction of the new stadium, which will be done at the end of July. Also, he had to hire a new Varsity Basketball Head Coach, who is going to be Coach Jon Rotz.

Mr. Harcos has many new responsibilities as Athletic Director and he is determined to fulfill them.
