Triumph in the pool
On March 11 the Jesuit High School Marauders took on the Davis Senior High School Blue Devils in their second league swimming meet.
The Marauders swam competitively in the pool and came out victorious over the Blue Devils by a final score of 97 to 86.
Big performances from junior Terry Johnson and junior Alex Chenkovich propelled Jesuit past Davis.
After this win, Jesuit’s swim team moves to 2-0 in Delta league play, and are looking to keep up their good form.
“The team showed heart and dedication towards swimming while representing Jesuit against a tough opponent. We can build off of this and use this to help achieve our ultimate goal of winning sections,” said junior Terry Johnson
Jesuit has improved a lot since last season, and the team’s hard work has started to pay off.
“We competed hard until the end and it was good enough to beat last year’s CIF champion,” said Varsity Head Coach Mike Solander.
This win is a big accomplishment for the Marauders as they continue to thrive at the start of this season.
Next week the Marauders will face the Elk Grove High School Thundering Herd in their third league meet of the season.
